Candle Care
Our handmade candles are designed for decorative use and release their scent without burning.
If you choose to light them, please follow our candle care instructions below.
To ensure you get the most out of your candles and enjoy their beautiful scents safely, proper candle care is essential. Here are some tips to help you maintain your candles:
-
Wick Trimming: Always trim the wick to about 1 cm before lighting. This helps create a cleaner, smoke-free flame and prevents excessive soot buildup.
-
Initial Burn: On the first burn, allow your candle to burn for at least 1 hour to create an even melt pool. This helps the wax melt evenly, preventing tunneling.
-
Burn Time: Limit burn time to a maximum of 2 hours at a time. This prevents the candle from overheating and prolongs its life.
-
Drip Tray: Use a drip tray under your candle to catch any wax drips and protect your surfaces.
-
Extinguishing: Always extinguish your candle when there are 2 inches or less of wax remaining. Use a candle snuffer for a safe and effective way to put out the flame.
-
Storage: Keep your candles away from direct sunlight and heat sources when not in use. This prevents fading and maintains their quality.
-
Safety First: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always keep candles out of reach of children and pets, and place them away from flammable materials.
-
Enjoying Leftover Wax: Once your candle has burned down, consider placing any remaining wax in an oil burner to continue enjoying its fragrance.
By following these care tips, you can ensure your candles burn beautifully and safely, providing you with many moments of tranquility and enjoyment.
